Chunky Chocolate Cookies

I do not know anyone who does not like chocolate, do you? My favorite is dark chocolate. I use dark chocolate in my desserts pretty often. This takes 30 minutes to prepare and bake. You can make the cookie dough ahead and chill it for a day or bake it immediately. I did not use an electric mixer for this recipe.

Makes 24 cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

½ cup dark brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

1 cups semi sweet chocolate chopped

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon flaky salt

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup melted butter

1 egg

Directions:

1-Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit Degrees.

2-Mix baking soda,  flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.

3-Mix melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, dark brown and white sugar in a large mixing bowl until combined.

4-Add egg mixture into flour mixture and mix just until the batter is smooth and comes together. Slowly mix in chocolate chunks.

5-Line two cookie sheets with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

6-Place 1 ice-cream scoop of a cookie dough 2 inches apart onto the cookie sheets.

7-Bake it 13- 17 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from a cookie.

8-Place the cookies on a cooling rack and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Enjoy!
