Baked Pears

Pear season! Yum!

You will notice a lot of baked pear recipes all over the internet, but this one is the easiest, healthiest yet most delicious one!

Servings: 3-4

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

5 medium size pears ( I used Anju pears) halved and cored

½ cup of honey

½ cup of maple syrup

1 tablespoon orange juice

3 cinnamon sticks

3-4 star anise

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon of salt

Directions:

1-Preheat the oven to 375 Fahrenheit degrees.

2-In a medium bowl, combine maple syrup, honey, orange juice, ground cinnamon and salt.

3-Arrange the pears, cut sides up, on a baking sheet.

4- Place cinnamon sticks and star anises between the pears.

5- Pour the maple syrup mixture over the pears.

6-Bake until pears are soft about 35-40 minutes.

7-If you like top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
