It is berry time of the year and cannot get enough of them. Here is a simple yet delicious blackberry cake for you to try and love!
Servings: 4-6

Baking time: 45 minutes
Total time: 65 minutes
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flower
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup yogurt
1/4 cup vegetable oil plus more for the cake pan
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1-Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.
2- Crush the blackberries to break them up a little to release their juices by using a fork or your hands.
2- Grease three 9 x 9 inch square cake pan, line with parchment paper, then grease the parchment paper.
3-Whisk flour, baking powder and salt together.
4-Mix oil, egg, yogurt and sugar with an electric mixer about 2 to 4 minutes.
5-Add flour mixture and 1 cup of blackberries in and mix it until just combined.
6-Transfer the batter to the cake pan.
7-Place the rest of the blackberries on top.
8-Bake until golden brown about 35 -45 minutes.
9-Allow cake to cool completely in the pan before taking it out.
